Boracay Islands
Boracay Island is the very image of the perfect tropical getaway. Many resorts and hotels are line the White Beach, which is one of the most picturesque in the Philippines. Accommodation options are broad and consistently great value no matter what your budget. 5-Star hotels are as good here as anywhere in Southeast-Asia and the beach hut/bungalow operations remain popular with backpackers.

Local food stalls and markets have some very tasty food but homesick Westerners can choose from an excellent range of restaurants. There are several bars and clubs for the party animals and an idyllic beach to recover on in the afternoon. Diving, Snorkeling and other Water Sports are very popular around the Island. The incredibly clear waters help to magnify the enjoyment of every activity.

Boracay is not the quiet undeveloped Island it once was but it retains its own unique charm despite this. Infrastructure improvements have helped to raise the standard of living for everyone. The Island has a protected environment to maintain the natural beauty of the surroundings both in and out of the water.
